We help CHURCHES help people.

Love INC connects people in need, who have limited resources, to church volunteers with the following skills:

  • Appliance Repair
  • Budget Planning
  • Carpentry
  • Food delivery from church food pantry
  • Helping someone move locally
  • Home maintenance (handyman)
  • Painting
  • Plumbing
  • Transportation to appointments
  • Yard Work
  • We also help with Dental and Medical needs on a limited basis

We connect people in need with Churches that provide help in the following areas:

  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Gas vouchers
  • Support Groups i.e. Divorce Care, Grief Support, 12 Step, etc.

We do not help with:

  • PG&E or other utility bills
  • Funeral expenses
  • Motel costs

Volunteers are available to take calls
Monday through Friday
9:00 am to Noon and 1:00 to 4:00 pm.


To all Agency Partners:

The following information is provided to help your agencymake referrals to Love INC. 

Love INC is a network of caring Christian churches that desire to help people in need.   Clients must call the Love INC Clearinghouse at 224-9599 and a volunteer will complete an intake form with the client, verify the need, and then look for a church or agency to help with the request.  The Love INC Clearinghouse is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am-Noon and 1:00-4pm.  Volunteers from many churches partner with us to meet these needs.

Please, do not give our business phone number or our street address to clients you refer to us.   Some agencies have put our contact information on a general referral sheet.  Please check to make sure you are not providing clients with this information.  If you want an original copy of our Love INC referral cards for clients, we can fax them on request.  Often, our phone lines are busy and clients are frustrated trying to get through to us.  If you are referring someone with an urgent need, you can call us with client information and we will call the client as soon as possible.

People PaintingFresno Madera Area Agency on Aging (FMAAA)

This agency provides case management and referral services to seniors and those with disabilities.We received several calls last year concerning low income seniors that were facing eviction because their mobile homes were unsightly and needing to be painted. The Bridge Church sent a team to one of these clients and they created a minor miracle for Elsa, who is 86. They did prep, painting, and yard work. Elsa sent a thank you card and said that once again, she is getting compliments on her home’s appearance.

Relocating is a tough job. It can seem like a mountain of impossibility for seniors with no family support. FMAAA asked us to help "Mary" who needed to escape an abusive care giver relationship. It took weeks of coordination as we worked with the FMAAA caseworker, Adult Protective Services (APS), Mary’s new caregiver and the wonderful church that provided 7 hours of labor. The Bridge Church came through in an amazing offering of service!


  1. Generates untapped resources in local churches to assist those in need.
  1. Helps to fill current gaps in service that exist in the community as it identifies specific types of volunteers that are needed or develops new projects as needed.
  1. Identifies caring individuals to come along side those in need with a self-help, case management approach.
  1. Shares the burden of meeting needs with many local churches.
  1. Does not compete with other agencies for limited government funds as Fresno Love INC does not request or accept government funds for operation expenses.
  1. Does not duplicate existing services in the community.
  1. Has a proven track record of working together well with other agencies in many cities across the U.S.
