Meet the ESA/Love INC staff and regular volunteers
I have served in full-time Christian ministry in Fresno, CA since 1972. I served in Youth for Christ for 10 years. Then in 1982, the Lord led me to found and direct Evangelicals for Social Action (ESA) in Fresno, to mobilize churches to help people in need.
While directing ESA, I also served as a consultant for World Vision for 15 years, where I helped many cities across the U.S. develop Love INC ministries, which organize churches to work together to serve their communities. I continue to serve as Executive Director of ESA/Love INC in Fresno.
ESA Assitant Director and Loving our Neighbors, Program Director
I attended seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago, graduating with a M.Div. in Missions & Evangelism. I formerly served on staff with youth at Pilgrim Armenian Congregational Church in Fresno, with Youth for Christ, and as Young Adults Pastor at the Bridge Evangelical Free Church. At Evangelicals for Social Action (ESA) I serve as Project Director for “Loving your Neighbors.” I am also part the pro-life movement in Fresno and a part of the Armenian Turkish Pastors Initiative, bringing Armenian and Turkish Pastors together to discuss and work through issues of reconciliation.
Married for 30 years to my husband Drake, we have two grown children and are blessed to be grandparents! I felt led to volunteer as a receptionist at ESA and after 11 months, the Lord opened the Office Administrator position, which I have been blessed to serve. Serving at ESA is truly not my job, it’s my joy!
I came to ESA as a volunteer in 2015. I was unemployed for the first time in my life, so volunteering sounded like a great idea. I volunteered for almost a year, and then when the Executive Assistant position became available, the Lord blessed me with the position for which I am ever grateful! Connecting churches in our community to create unity, and mobilizing Christians, and Christian churches to help people is just where God placed me.
After nine years in public accounting and seven years in private accounting, I came on staff at ESA in September 2012. I have been married to the love of my life, Ron, for twenty years. We have three very active teenage boys, a sixteen-year-old and thirteen-year-old twins. As a family, we are very involved in ice hockey, both watching and playing, and going to Six Flags Magic Mountain as often as possible. I have been blessed by the opportunity to serve the Lord through ESA.
I started as a Love INC Help Line volunteer at ESA in 2012. In 2013 I joined our staff as a Clearninghouse Coordinator. I have been married to my husband, Pat, for 45 years. We are members of Peoples Church.
I came on staff as a Clearinghouse Coordinator in 2012, after serving as a Love INC Help Line volunteer. I have served as a Fresno Police Chaplain and am very active in my church, Saints Community Church of God in Christ.
Meet the ESA/Love INC Board Members
Northpark Community Church
The needs of our community seems overwhelming at times. Certainly too big for any church alone. ESA serves a unique role in bringing “The Church” of Fresno/Clovis together to make a larger impact on our city. I believe we are always better together.
Two Cities Church
I serve because ESA helps the Church to serve the community. ESA/Love INC connects churches and encourages them to love their neighbors.
Fresno & Madera Youth for Christ
I serve on the ESA board because I believe God is reconciling and renewing all things through His son Jesus. I’m excited to be a part of the transformation in The Valley, because of God’s love displayed through the actions of his people, the Church.
The Well Community Church
Serving as a pastor in Fresno for over 19 years, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with ESA and seeing how God has used this ministry to network the Body of Christ for the Gospel and healing our community. It is a joy to now serve even more closely on the ESA board.
Church of Shaver Lake
It is a pleasure to lend my support to the mission of ESA, because I believe in it wholeheartedly. Connecting the people of God to the needs of hurting people and seeing lives transformed for the Kindgom of God is a blessing.
Executive Pastor, Campus Bible Church
I have served on the ESA Board since 2004. I have chosen to be involved, because ESA is mobilizing the church in Fresno/Clovis to transform our community with the love of Christ. ESA is committed to coming alongside my church and helping us follow the command of Jesus to love our neighbors as ourselves!
Clovis Hills Community Church
My passion is to see our city transformed and this organization has proven to be a powerful and effective instrument to touch the lives of so many people throughout the years. I am proud to serve ESA/Love Inc. as a board member.
Pastor, Beth David Messianic Congregation
The ministry of ESA is critical to the advancement of unity amongst brothers in the greater body of Messiah within our city. No other organization does as much to leverage the strengths and value of individuals and congregations, coming together to extend love to our community in practical ways. If there is any way I can help, I’m on board!
Local outreach Director at Riverpark Bible Church
I have been in ministry in our community for 17 years, meeting the spiritually lost, the hungry, those who have addictions, the homeless, grieving, teen runaways, children who are abused, abandoned, and neglected, and the list goes on. ESA seeks to mobilize our churches to share Christian love and fill these needs. I want to have a part in awakening the Christians in our churches not only to the needs in our community, but to our responsibility to go out, share love, and proclaim the gospel.
Pastor, Saints Community Church of God in Christ
Being on the ESA/Love INC board gives me an opportunity to better serve the faith community. I enjoy being able to talk with pastors about how the ministry can help us minister to the poor.
Pastor, Westside Church of God
I enjoy serving on the board of ESA/Love INC, because I have a need to collaborate with other believers who have a heart to see our city transformed through the Body of Christ at work.
I am blessed to serve on the ESA Board to witness first hand that the needs of the last, the least and the lost are being met with loving generosity through ESA and the Body of Christ.
“…Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine you did for me.”
– Matthew 25:40
Associate Director, Every Neighborhood Partnership
ESA loves the church of Jesus Christ. It has been and continues to be a vital link in the Evangelical community. As much as I can, I want to help ESA equip the Church to serve our city and our neighbors.
